A Cultural Celebration of Memories in Anaheim
In Latin America, there’s a belief that the dead never truly die, not as long as their memories and stories are passed on from their family and friends, and they reserve one day each year – Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead – to celebrate those memories in a colorful and thrilling fashion. Whether you’re a devout follower of the holiday, or you’re wanting to learn more about Latino/Hispanic culture, our luxury apartments at Alexan CTR City offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the best of the holiday.
On November 1st, the Anaheim Town Square will host its annual Día de los Muertos festival, perfect for Latin American families to commemorate their dead loved ones. The town square is located only two miles from our luxury apartments, a mere six to eight-minute drive or a fifteen-minute bus ride. From 5-7pm, you can enjoy a wide variety of fun activities, such as making your own Pan de Muertos sweet bread, face painting, balloon and flower artists, sugar skulls, and even a full mariachi band and Folklorico dancers throughout the square. Afterwards, from 7-9pm, gather with your loved ones and watch a public showing of Coco, Pixar’s charming film featuring Dia de los Muertos, and make sure to bring your own comfortable seating. Best of all, while some activities may cost extra, attendance to both the festival and film showing is entirely free!
